Eligibility
Open to all in Grades 6-12. Registrations will be accepted through September 21. If the number who register exceeds capacity, priority will be given to Lansing residents and those attending Lansing schools, with a lottery used to break ties. All who register will be notified by September 28 if they have secured a seat.
Attendance
By registering, you are committing to attend the entire seven-lesson series. To be eligible for a certificate of completion and prizes, you may not miss more than one Saturday.
Dates and Location
Saturdays, Oct. 6−Nov. 17 • 10:00 a.m.−noon at the Downtown Lansing Branch of Capital Area District Libraries, 401 South Capitol Avenue Lansing, Michigan 48933.
Cost
Instruction and software are provided free of charge, along with use of a laptop and a micro:bit during meetings. Transportation may be provided by Dean Transportation for those who elect the option during registration. Downtown street parking is free on weekends.
Notification of Cancellation
If we need to cancel a club meeting (due to weather, instructor illness, etc), we will send a notice to the contact email address provided at registration and post a notice in the news by 8:00 a.m. of the affected Saturday. We recommend that you check the news before you start out for class in the morning.
